The Orlando Science Center in beautiful
Orlando, Florida, features a unique OMNI*HUB
pedestrian bridge. The 195' long STAR*WALK System
crosses a four-lane street connecting a parking
structure with the second floor of the Science
Center. The DNA double helix geometry is a very
appropriate form for this knowledge experience. |

STAR*WALK is a pedestrian walkway system
that can be used to span any length and provide a
clean architectural look. The basic design, which
uses a basic triangular truss, has a light and
graceful look. The design is similar to the three
dimensional triangular shape that Starnet uses in
it's spaceframe network systems. In STAR*WALK, the
triangular shapes are used to form two parallel
trusses supporting the walkway. The enclosed
walkway provides a comfortable enclosure joining
various facilities thereby increasing their
usefulness and value.

Pyramids are one of the most growing
popular forms in architecture. This pyramid is 95'
x 95', 16' high, which forms a beautiful well-lit
courtyard enclosure at the Jack Britt High School
in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The rise of
the pyramid and the openness created by the
spaceframe make the structure almost float with
the sky. The overall covered area of the
structure is about 10,000 square feet and the
overall surface area is 11,800 square feet. |
